In the morning (9-12:40) you will attend the Spanish course of your choice.
In the afternoon (after 4pm) we will guide you through our PRACTICE ACTIVITIES.
On both Saturdays you are invited to join guided excursions to nearby historical towns.

Enjoy the particular charm of Madrid and get to know how the lively Madrileños live their permanent movida at X-Mas and end of year time. The afternoon activities also focus on the traditional celebration of Christmas, the welcoming of the New year and the epiphany parade. A total immersion both in the Spanish language and traditions awaits you in Madrid.

Monday
 X-Mas in Spain: Lecture explaining traditions and customs during the Christmas holidays in Spain; with tips for restaurants, feasts and other events during the Year-End-Holidays.

Madrid at Christmas Time: Excursion to the historical center of Madrid and to the typical Christmas-Market on Plaza Mayor. 		The year 2007 in Spain: Lecture about the main political, cultural and economical events in Spain 2007.

Debate: The student refer -after previous preparation- the main events of the countries of origin.
Tuesday
 December 25, Christmas-Day, school closed. January 1, New Years Day, school closed.
Wednesday 50 spanish Words: Lecture about origin and history of 50 selected spanish words.

Flamenco Course: A 2 hours Flash course with a professional dancer to provide you the basic skills and rythms of the Flamenco-Dance (extra fee). 		Growth or Crisis?: Interview with Vicente, a professor of economics, about the prospects of the spanish economy for 2008.

Cooking-Experience Practical cooking course including preparation of a meal in the kitchen of a professional cook (extra fee).
Thursday NGO's in Spain: Lecture about Non Gouvernment Organisations in Spain and preparation of a visit to a real spanish NGO in Madrid.

Medicos del Mundo: Interview
with Maria-Sol, head of the NGO "Médicos del Mundo", followed by a visit to the Headquarters of the NGO in Madrid. 		Art in Madrid: Presentation of the main museums and monuments in Madrid (lecture).

Museo del Prado: In a guided tour through the Prado Museum we show and explain you the most representative paintings of spanish art.
Friday Bon Appétit: Students and teachers enjoy a meal together in a restaurant near the school (meal price not included).

EL HIJO DE LA NOVIA: Introduction, explanation and presentation of the argentine movie film "EL HIJO DE LA NOVIA". 		Bon Appétit: Students and teachers enjoy a meal together in a restaurant near the school (meal price not included).

Epiphany with cake and chocolate: Snack with short presentation about the importance of Epiphany in Spain.

CRIMEN PERFECTO We provide background information, introduce and show you the spanish comedy "CRIMEN PERFECTO".
Saturday: Guided excursion to Segovia. (extra fee) Guided excursion to Toledo. (extra fee)

- All registrations include the booked Spanish course and participation in afternoon practice activities.

- All bookings for December 2007 and January 2008 get a 20% Seasonal Discount on the course fee.

- 1-Week-Prices from 402 EUR/person (Course A with single room in shared flat).

- 2-Week-Prices from 700 EUR/person (Course A with single room in shared flat).

- The Seasonal Discount is cumulative with the companion discount.

- Your Spanish course can start earlier and/or continue into the new year. Go to course dates 2008.

- Classes are not held on Tuesday, December 25th of 2007 and on Tuesday, January 1st of 2008.
